A person’s orientation on a political issue, specifically domestic public policies, is based on political ideology. Ideology is the position or attitude towards the government system based on freedom in particular freedom from and freedom of as well as basing upon equality particularly equality of opportunity and equality of outcome. Liberals tend to choose equality of outcome, the government ensuring equality through services, on economic issues more so than conservatives who tend to chose equality of opportunity. Therefore, based on political ideology, a strong inference can be establish as to what a person tends to be, liberal or conservative in this case concerning domestic pubic policies.
